My Collection
I create this blog literary to show my collection which is not much of a collection compared to the very serious collectors, but seeing many blog in this subject I have a feeling that my collection is worthy enough to post in web.
I collect matchbox from every where- street, dustbin , shop, from other people so some of my matchboxes are quite dirty. Many other hobbies have clear rule how to preserve the item but in case of matchbox I can't find any. People keep them or rather collect them in various ways like

But I collect them kind of in between way as I want to keep whole matchbox but I don't have enough space so I keep them as follows:
Oh! by the way. One of my main reason for this blogs is to request my friends who don't live in Kolkata now to bring some matchbox from where you currently live, for me when you came back to Kolkata... :D

P.S. I tried to scan my collection and use img. editing software to crop them as single box..but that turns out very time consuming. So now on I'm going to post whole pages just like above picture. :|

Phillumeny - My Hobby
One of my many hobbies is Phillumeny, collecting matchbox related item, in my case matchbox.
The year was 1998-99, I can't remember clearly. I was in class VI or VII. First floor of our house was being construed. One of the worker bring a matchbox named "COCONUTS". I was quite amazed as then I knew there was only one kind of matchbox is available in market, "SHIP", which is the only matchbox I seen till then.
Thus began my matchbox collecting hobby as at that age I collect whatever I saw have more than one kind of variates like candy wrapper, cigarettes box, stickers, stamps, tree leaves, butterfly and many more, though only a couple of hobbies of that age still survive.
